Simple bouquet

Today I made a card with a simple bouquet© that I recently drew. I made this card for Cuttlebug Challenge, but I saw that there was a potential way to introduce it in other Challenges. For this reason, I used only blue and green colors . Since the drawing is very simple, I thought it was interesting to add details, like the "frame", to highlight the drawing. In the 1-inch squares I added cute little birds from the Cuttlebug Birds and Swirls embossing folder, trying to make different shapes on each square. There is a touch of sparkle with the small pearls I added to the flowers, on the frame and on the squares. I really liked the result!

Stylish Flower...

This time I wanted to draw a different flower, to be painted in one color and I wanted it to have an elegant appearance. Then I drew this very simple and stylish flower© that looks like a cone-flower with few leaves. I also draw a couple flourishes to make the sketch more interesting.
For this card I printed the drawing twice to give the flower a 3D effect. I outlined the sketch with the Perfect Medium pencil, Bullet, from Ranger and used copper embossing powders, which gave the picture a beautiful sheen. I also used a glossy designer paper that highlights the little flowers. The ornament on the right was made with Bazzill cardstock and painted with glitter paint. Finally, I added three brown rhinestones that brings to the card a very elegant luster.

Fairies Collection ~ Second Fairy...

Here I show you the second Fairy of my new Collection:

I decided to draw the collection with different faces and hair, to make them more interesting. This one is blond and has blue eyes. There is a lot of glitter on this card. I used beautiful glittered paper and I painted the wings of the fairy, the butterfly on the top and the little pink flowers with glitter paint. I made the big pink flowers using different punch papers. Now, I am thinking about the sentiment that I will add, because I'm sure that fairies should bring a positive message.

Fairies...

I recently started a new collection of drawings: Fairies. I love them! Here I show you the first fairy of my new collection.

When I was a little kid I read many fairy tales that made me dream. As time passed and I grew up, I forgot my fairies’ drawings until now. I am very glad to have rediscovered them because they have brought me great memories of times long gone.

There are rhinestones on her hair and I painted the wings with glitter. I also added some glitter "stars" on the sky:)

Happy Anniversary!

This is my first anniversary card. I do not know why, but I had not thought about this topic before but it was the subject of a Challenge and it seemed to be nice:)

I did not have a related drawing so I started to draw something. Thus, emerged these two cute little bears. The bride has a white dress that I painted with metallic white paint that seems satin. She has a small “diamonds” tiara that match with the diamond in the bow of her red belt. She has also a beautiful pearls necklace around her neck. The groom has a black tuxedo and a beautiful red bow tie. I added pearls on the punched border and silver ribbons decorate on one side. In the other side there is a small swirl painted with a touch of glitter.

My friend and me:)

I have had much fun making this card. I like to combine some challenges and this time I used the sketch of a MAWTT challenge and I found very interesting the subject of 365CardsThursday Challenge. The theme was "It's so you". Depending on how you address it, the issue may be easy or difficult:)

I decided to reflect me as a friend. Good friend of my friend. I used Gena and Lena, one of my drawings, which reflects my friend and me. We do all kinds of crafts together (not scrapbooking because it is not her subject). But we have had much fun working together on many other crafts, drinking coffee and talking. I am sure she is going to smile when she sees this card:)

To paint these two white friends, I used white metallic paint in small strokes trying to form little feathers and to the "knitter" friend I used glitter paint. When possible, I like making my own embellishment. This time I made the flowers, with a rhinestone in the center, in a darker tone of pink.

Love card in June...

Just in time to show you my new card! Although Valentines is now too far, I think that a love card is always welcome. So I thought why not to "Send a love card in June" to that special person.

I used my new sketch, the Rose, of my "Say it with Flowers Collection". I think it is a beautiful addition to a love card. As I do like too much 3D cards, I always printed the image 2 or 3 times and carefully cut out the details I want to highlight. In this case, the small rose has a second copy on top and to the big rose I cut out 2 more copies, I removed some petals in different parts and put the smaller piece on top. I think this can be seen better in the second picture.

Card supplies:
Image of EdithDesigns© (that's me!), Bazzill Cardstock, German Cardstock, 140lb watercolor paper, miscellaneous designer paper, Caran d'Ache watercolors, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and Floral Fantasy embossing folder, Cat's Eye pigments different colors, Fiskars flower border punch paper, satin ribbon, Hearts from my Cricut Create, little flowers rhinestones, white silk thread and my sewing machine.
