The Fairy of Friendship...

Today I will show you a new drawing of my little Collection "Fairies": The Fairy of Friendship.

This drawing represents solidarity and goodwill. I made this card with the Mojo Monday Sketch 146. For the background I used a gorgeous cardstock that has beautiful glossy flowers. I printed the drawing twice, for the 3D effect. For this, I cut with my small scissors, and much time and patience:) the small figures of the Fairy and two of the three girls.

I like to paint all the layers of the design and I painted them with watercolors. To the girls’ skirts I add a thin coat of glitter paint. I painted the Fairy dress with glossy paint and wings sparkle with glitter paint. The ribbons of cardstock of the background were dry embossed and I added a beautiful organza ribbon dyed in tones of turquoise and green. I added a small metal butterfly on the bow. Soon I will show you the next Fairy of my Collection!

My friend and me:)

I have had much fun making this card. I like to combine some challenges and this time I used the sketch of a MAWTT challenge and I found very interesting the subject of 365CardsThursday Challenge. The theme was "It's so you". Depending on how you address it, the issue may be easy or difficult:)

I decided to reflect me as a friend. Good friend of my friend. I used Gena and Lena, one of my drawings, which reflects my friend and me. We do all kinds of crafts together (not scrapbooking because it is not her subject). But we have had much fun working together on many other crafts, drinking coffee and talking. I am sure she is going to smile when she sees this card:)

To paint these two white friends, I used white metallic paint in small strokes trying to form little feathers and to the "knitter" friend I used glitter paint. When possible, I like making my own embellishment. This time I made the flowers, with a rhinestone in the center, in a darker tone of pink.

Card supplies:

Hi Friend!

Finally a new card! I used the sketch of a Mojo Monday Challenge, but on the way I discovered that there was room to show it in other challenges. I used my drawing Dee the Bee, Hi Friend! I printed it twice to make it in 3D. I painted each layer with watercolors and carefully cut out Dee and the flower. The wings have glitter and they look very delicate. I added a butterfly that I drew long ago. This time I painted it with Photoshop. I had not done it before and I found it very easy and the result is very nice. I printed it two times and glue the two images to give the bottom, although not shown, a more delicate finish.

Card supplies:
Images of EdithDesigns© Corner'Shop, Bazzill cardstock, miscellaneous designer paper, watercolor 140lb cardstock, Caran d'Ache watercolors, glitter, Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Square, yellow tulle, pale yellow button, white silk thread and my sewing machine.

Mojo Monday - Sketch
Charisma Cardz - Going round in circles
Paper Play Challenges - Up in the air
Crafty Creations - Use your favorite stamp
Pollycraft Challenges - Buttons and butterflies
StempelTraeume - Rund

Max and his Best Friend Forever...

I drew this little Panda long ago. His name is Jimmy the Panda and I always thought that he was very cute. The first bear that my oldest son had was a little panda named Ling-Ling, so Panda has been a very important guest in my home. And Max ... well, Max is now part of the family LOL! He was one of my first drawings and by now he almost has its own life. For that reason he is always present and I can imagine him in many situations. That is why today I show you Max with his best friend forever. This is the first time I use lace on my cards. I have had three types of lace for a long time but I never found the occasion to use any of them.

Card supplies:
Image: EdithDesigns©, Bazzill cardstock, Canson watercolor paper, miscellaneous designer paper, Caran D’Ache watercolors, Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Oval, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, miscellaneous flower punches, Recollections rhinestone stickers, Cat’s Eyes classic pigment Stucco color, lace and satin ribbon, pale pink silk thread and my sewing machine.

Friendship...

Friendship…The theme of friendship is beautiful, special and I love it! It is not easy to find true friendship and when you find it… you have to take care of it. So I figured friendship between Rex the Bear and his friend, the little bird. Rex is helping his friend to move in a wheelbarrow full of spring flowers. I printed image several times for a 3D effect and the little bird has glitter effect.
